Angle Attackers
Shooting from different angles — left side, right side, centre
Objective: Players practise shooting at goal from various positions around the goal to understand angles.
Outcomes
- ✓Players can shoot at goal from the left side, right side, and centre.
- ✓Players can adjust their body position based on which angle they are shooting from.
- ✓Players can identify which part of the goal is easier to hit from each angle.

5mSet up: Three goals placed around the space at different orientations. Balls scattered.
How to run it: Players shoot from wherever they find themselves — no set starting position. Encourage them to try strange angles. 'What if you shoot from the side?'

8mSet up: Scatter 15 small cones (treasures) around the area. Two teams with pinnies. Each player with a ball.
How to run it: Teams dribble and collect cones — one at a time, one per trip. Tuck the cone in your pinnie or hold it. Return to base after each. Most cones in 3 minutes wins. Three rounds.

12mSet up: One small goal with three shooting spots marked: LEFT (45-degree angle left), CENTRE (straight on), RIGHT (45-degree angle right), each 7 yards from goal.
How to run it: Players rotate through all three spots, shooting once from each. That's one round. Do four full rounds, then switch to the next goal. Players count personal goals from each angle.
- ›From the left: try to shoot across the goal to the far corner.
- ›From centre: aim low and away from the middle.
- ›From the right: same logic as left, reversed.

15mSet up: Two 3v3 games on 15x10 yard pitches. Goals each end. No goalkeeper.
How to run it: Normal 3v3. But coach calls an 'angle zone' before each kickoff — a coloured cone on the left, right, or centre. If a team scores from the angle zone, they get a bonus cheer. Play three 4-minute rounds.

5mSet up: Players stand in a line beside a small goal.
How to run it: Each player takes one shot from an angle of their choice — left, right, or centre. Coach asks: 'Which angle do you like best?' Player answers and high-fives the coach. Move on to the next player.
